Noah and Audrey's Story

Meet Noah and Audrey...two of the finest young people that it has been my pleasure to meet.

This is their story.

Noah has worked for the Cristosal Foundation in El Salvador for several years in community developement...building social, economic, medical and agricultural infrastructure with the people in the eastern part of El Salvador. During that time he has endured dengue fever and lesser assorted unpleasantness. Noah is our translator, historian and guide par excellence.

Audrey has been in El Salvador for only a few months. Her specialty is agricultural development....specifically working with the Salvadoran people to develop sustainable agriculture that is not dependant on expensive fertilizers and pesticides.
Together, Noah and Audrey help open up the stories of the Baja Lempa region...and all of El Salvador...for our eyes and ears.

Noah tries to tell us about countryside above the roar of the wind in the back of the pickup truck.

They introduce us to the people of Baja Lempa

They lead us on walks through the villages of Baja Lempa, past houses adorned with Stations of the Cross

Noah tells us this mission in Baja Lempa

They live with other missionaries and volunteers in the beautiful village of Jiquillisco----in this tiny building, which is the Centro Pastoral del Oriente (The Pastoral Center of the East).
